August 18: Two important asks

Dear fellow Gators,

We are eagerly preparing for the start of the academic year, and I am incredibly excited about all the experiences and accomplishments we will enjoy together.

I have two important asks of you:

First, I ask you to join me in helping to prevent the spread of Covid by following UF’s public health rules and guidance. A summary of those rules and guidance is available here.

Second, I ask that you join me in taking this pledge to promote safety both on campus and off campus. By keeping ourselves and each other safe, we will lower the risk of disrupting the fall semester.

I thank you for joining me in strengthening our tradition of caring for each other and ourselves.
